Adult Programs

Ministry to adults in our congregation covers many elements, including social, outreach ministry and studying the Bible.

One thing about our church is that we do a lot of activities around ‘food’. We have had church-wide breakfasts, as well as after-church lunches at local restaurants. Other activities have included weekly home study groups, relationship, and church-growth seminars. These are always great times of fellowship.

See our Events page for our recent and upcoming activities. If you’re in the area and are available to come, just call the church office to let us know, then come join us. We are a friendly group and would love to have you!

Adult Studies

Sunday Morning Class
This class is primarily about relationships -- between husband and wife, parent and child, etc. We approach relationships from a Biblical perspective, usually using a contemporary book as a guide. Some recent books we’ve studied include, 12 ‘Christian’ Beliefs That Can Drive You Crazy by Dr. Cloud & Dr. Townsend, Caring Enough to Confront by David Augsburger, Putting Away Childish Things by David Seamands, as well as Changes that Heal and Boundaries, both by Drs. Cloud and Townsend.

Covenant Women

The title of Covenant Women is just that – women that attend Covenant churches. Covenant Women works on both a national and a local level to raise funds or otherwise reach out to those in need.

Nationally, a focus over the years has been to reach out to aid missionaries in their work. Money has been raised for things as big as trucks and buildings, to things as small as receiving blankets for moms in small, remote villages.

Locally, we concentrate on needs within our local church like pew cushions, curtains for the restrooms etc. Sometimes we reach out to our broader church in places like Mexico or Africa, by rolling bandages for hospitals and clinics, or making blankets and sweaters for newborn babies.

Our current project is collecting socks, underwear, toiletries etc. for Union Rescue Mission in downtown Los Angeles. If you would like to help in this project, you may send these types of supplies or a monetary donation (checks payable to Eagle Rock Covenant Church) to: ERCC, 1649 Yosemite Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90041. Contact person is Cindy Moseley.
